Mzansi's most watched television show Uzalo is bringing in fresh new faces this year.
The IsiZulu sudser, which is shot in the township of Kwa-Mashu in KwaZulu-Natal, has boasted very high ratings for years and the plan is to continue to grow. Although recent reports reveal that there'there'sbeen a dip in viewership, we doubt producers are shaking in their boots as the show still firmly sits at the top.
Now, in a bid to give viewers fresh storylines and new faces in season 6, eye-candy and well-known actor and presenter, Fezile Makhanya, will join the drama series.
Makhanya is known for his suave appearance and personality, and was applauded in 2018 for shining a light on gender-based violence on Mzansi Magic's The Queen; alongside Dineo Langa.
According to a statement from the show, Fezile’s character is set to shake up Sbu’s world in an interesting way. He will embody the character of a perfect gentleman and savvy businessman whose name is Mpumelelo “Mpume” - this, according to Channel24.
Another talent to grace the show is Thulane Shange. Many will remember him on the drama series Isthunzi where he portrayed the role of Lwazi - a well-spoken rural Zulu boy. On Uzalo, Thulane is set to play the role of Thulani; Gxabhashe's long last son.
But it does not end there!
Another new face is Nombulelo Mhlongo who is said to shake things up as Khehle's mother, Nomcebo.

Things are definitely about to get heated on Mzansi's favourite sudsers. Viewers are in for some drama!
