Teenage pregnancy may mean the end of the world to some, but that wasn't the case with this former Generations actress. She forgave herself for her mistakes, accepted her fate and slowly became one of our favorite actresses.
Having a child at a young age is really never easy for anyone, no matter how much of a support system you have. According to Move Magazine, former Generations actress Xoli Zondi became a mother at 16, the same year in which she matriculated. Hard enough as it was growing up with a single mother who had to raise three children on a single source of income, Xoli didn't let her pregnancy or poverty stand in the way of her and her dreams. Xoli was lucky to have a support system like she had because that helped her not only learn from her mistakes, but it shaped her into the woman she is today.
Right after matriculating, having a baby and the later graduating from drama school, Xoli landed her first ever Tv role on Family Bonds in 2007. She later on went to starring in bigger shows like Generations and most recently Greed and Desire. The 33 year old mother of one has a very close relationship with her 17 year old daughter. ''I have a very close relationship with my daughter, we talk about everything but as much as I am her friend, I am her mother first'' she says proudly. Not wanting her daughter to make the same mistakes as she did is really important to her, and even though they live in different provinces, she will always be just a phone call away.
