Last month, Sunday World reported that Caiphus Semenya demands what's due to him after his songs were allegedly sampled by AKA without his permission.

Responding to this, Caiphus said it's absolute rubbish and the reporter does not know what he is talking about.

"It was sorted out," laughed the producer who spoke to Nkululeko's YouTube podcast.

"I started Semenya Music when I was 32-years-old. John Levi helped me put my publishing together. Since then I have never, not once negotiated a song," he clarified.

He then went on to say, "The publisher does that, that's their job."

Semenya then says the journalist should have contacted him and clarified the story before publishing it and he should have asked who is his publisher.

"He just runs and writes nonsense, it's rubbish," added the muso. He added that he was not involved in the negotiations of royalties and they were sorted out previously.

"His lawyers have never seen me, so who am I going to demand the 50% from?"

Semenya was also touched by the phrasing which insinuated that he knocked on AKA's grave demanding the royalties. "I'm not like that. If he lacks respect, I was raised by people who taught me respect. When someone loses a loved one, you sympathise with them. And the way this boy died it hurts to me. There is no song that's worth his life. What's 50%?"

Semenya then pointed out how the reporter did not know which 2 songs he was referring to.

Mzansi has since changed it's tune about Ntate Semenya saying he is a man with decorum.
