Babes Wodumo claims she is NOT behind a series of insulting tweets using her name
The gqom singer claims not only is an imposter using her Twitter account to deceive fans, but the person behind the account is also trying to extort money from her.
The singer took to her official Instagram account to share a screenshot of a message from the scammer who demands money in exchange for her.
Babes also shared posts of some of the tweets from the Twitter account (which has almost 100k followers) with the caption; "Akusiyimi" (It's not me).
On Monday night the fake account took aim at Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula, slamming the outspoken star as a 'slima' (stupid).
Unknowingly, Fikile responded to the insult and the star, tweeting; "I defended you against abuse by my friend Umampintsha today you call me islima. Wena Babes keep quiet please u are just a typical example of what am talking about."
The Twitter account has also insulted Pearl Thusi, Penny Lebyane, Lasizwe and even Lady Zamar even the last few weeks.
Fans have responded to the drama in the comments section, even giving her advice on how to stop the con-man.
“Just deactivate that account and start a new one”, claimed one fan.
Some even claimed Babes's boyfriend Mampintsha is behind the hack.
“Maybe your boyfriend is behind this ankere bare keep your enemies closer.. He kept you closer to destroy you.”
Do you believe Babes' account is hacked? And if so, who is causing all this unnecessary drama?
