Black Motion in 2020 celebrated its 10 year anniversary as a duo. A duo which was known to only include drum player Thabo Smol, and DJ Bongani “MurdahBongz or Mörda” Mohosana. At the time of their milestone celebration, the duo had released an album titled The Last Chapter.

A title which would become a self-fulfilling prophecy as the wheels of the once well-oiled machine began to fall off. First, it was Mörda announcing his relationship with DJ Zinhle. An announcement, which was followed with him starting to do solo gigs.
This was the start of the suggestions that there might be a rift between Mörda and Smol, and that a split was imminent. However, at the time, the duo publicly denied this fact. That is until the tail end of 2022, when Problem Child took over Mörda’s role after he went solo.
Initially, the split was suggested as amicable. This was despite Mörda finding out that he was replaced like the rest of us, which was through an SABC News interview with Smol and new member Kabelo “Problem Child Ten83” Koma. But now, it seems that things have turned ugly between Black Motion and Mörda.
Black Motion confirms legal action against MurdahBongz
Back in December 2022, leading gossip Instagram account Maphephe Ndaba alleged that Black Motion was taking legal action against Mörda. In the supporting article by The Sunday World explained the extenuating circumstances of the legal matter by reporting:
Black Motion’s split has turned ugly after their boss opened a case of housebreaking and theft against the duo’s former member Bongani “ Murdah” Mahosana at Olievenhoutbosch police station, north of Johannesburg, on Thursday.
Moses Nkia Mokgoko, who owns Black Motion’s record label, popularly known as Spirit Motion, alleged Murdah, who recently left the duo to pursue a solo career, broke into their Centurion house, which they use as an office and studio, on Thursday and took studio monitors, a television set, computer hard drives and mixing desk.
According to a source who is close to the artists, Murdah vacated the property, bought by him, fellow member Thabo “Smol” Mabogwane and Mokgoko, and went to live with his girlfriend and the mother of his child, DJ Zinhle.
Now, Black Motion has taken to social media to confirm that it has taken legal action for the alleged crimes previously speculated against Mörda.
However, initially, the duo was cryptic in its delivery of the matter. This is as it seems that their first day in court was on Tuesday, 10 January 2022, as its Twitter account posted a number of suggestive posts that they were taking Mörda to court.
But at the time, when tweeps suggested that the account needed to be upfront on the matter rather than the suggestive posts, Black Motion had laughed off the matter.
While Black Motion has shared its side of the story, as Bongani is found liable to replace the possessions he stole.
Mörda has yet to share any details on the matter as yet. However, it does seem that he is aware that the matter has been made public as he continues to post on social media.
