Cassper Nyovest fights at least one hater a day on social media. The latest to come hard after him is music mogul Nota Baloyi, and the twar is hilarious to follow.
Nota and Cass have long running beef between them, so much so that it is hard to trace when exactly they started hating each other. But the two of them regularly trade insults, and now we have our latest episode of the weirdest internet show.
This time, Cassper started it all. Nota went online to share a screenshot of his bank savings. He asked his followers to follow his example, saying they should not message him unless they have at least a quarter of a million rand in their emergency savings account. Nota has since called Cass broke multiple times.
Cassper shared the screenshot, trolling Nota. He thought it was funny that Nota's bank account balance is only slightly more than R250,000 yet he keeps thumping his chest and calling himself a mogul.
In response his fans posted an old picture of a receipt from 2019, showing a night out when Cassper dropped R242,000 in one sitting. His fans thought it was hilarious that Nota would come after Cass when the rapper spends close to Nota's savings in one night.
Cassper went harder, calling Nota crazy. But Nota thought it was all a front to cover up the fact that Cass is broke. In response, Nota challenged Cassper to post a screenshot of his own savings account balance, if he indeed has money.
Cassper has dismissed his jabs as the rantings of a lunatic. He said it is ridiculous to post one's bank account balance, and he would never do it.
That was until one tweep suggested that the best way for the two of them to sort things out would be to get in the ring, like Cassper did in 2021. They should fight it out, so they can finally earn each other's respect.
But Nota was not having that idea. Is he scared of fighting Cassper? We can only wonder. He has, however, challenged Cass to a rap battle, which is an interesting way for anyone to settle beef. But it's what he is offering, and Cass is yet to take him up on his challenge.
The most interesting thing about this beef, is that both artists have blocked each other, so neither of these tweets were directly shared to the other. It was all a battle of subliminal messaging and replying to other fans who mentioned the beef.
But that one fan is right. Maybe it is time for the two of them to square it up for real. Their beef has gone on long enough, and is frankly getting a bit ridiculous at this point. If they do decide to meet in a place and battle it out, whether with their fists or with bars, we are sure to keep you posted.
