Cassper Nyovest and his McLaren GT car have just about exhausted haters. But the latest saga in which he was “exposed” by an alleged car rental page finally gave them fodder for making fun of him again.

An Instagram page by the name Luxurious Car Rentals recently “exposed” Cassper for renting the McLaren from them, saying he was enjoying the long term rental option.

Of course the post went viral immediately, as haters were happy to finally have some proof that Cassper has been lying about buying the expensive car. Picture of him and Andile Mpisane from Konka a few weeks back, which Cass shared with the caption “McLaren GT owners” started doing the rounds again, this time labelled “McLaren owner and a McLaren rental guy”, to clown Cass.

The claim was first made by media personality and music mogul Nota Baloyi, saying he had proof that Cass had rented the car. Although he never did give any proof to back his audacious claims, Mzansi proceeded to believe him anyway.
Cassper was enraged by the claims, going online to rant in a series of tweets. He pondered why people were always so ready to believe lies about him, but quick to dismiss his version of events.

As the company’s expose went viral, some keen fans spotted something suspicious. First of all, the page had only been in existence for a week prior to the viral post, and as of the writing of this article, has only 510 followers.

As Cassper soon found out he was trending for what he considered fake news, he proceeded to comment on the post. But according to him, the page kept deleting his comments addressing their lies, which further infuriated him. Currently, the page has locked the comments section on all their posts, starting with the one about Cassper.

Cass went online to encourage his fans and followers to be more discerning, and not to let themselves get scammed. He said anybody with any smarts would have noticed that the page and their claims were fake.

He embarrassed all those who spent the whole day clowning him. It was so bad that they had to back down and act like it was all intentional, and that they were only trying to get a rise out of the rapper and his fans.
It’s great though, that for once, Cassper has been able to push the bullies into backing down. The ploy was so transparent that it handed Cass a simple victory. One has to wonder whether it was contrived for the page to trend and attract followers, but if after trending all day, they only got to 500, it didn’t work out so well for them, did it?
