He reassured his fans via a tweet on Wednesday evening that he’s okay:

“Good evening fam. Trust you have been well. Thank you all for your kind messages. Sending mega love to you. TGS”
While some fans were relieved that he’s okay, some fans were shocked that criminals wouldn’t hesitate to mug a well-known personality in broad daylight.

The singing doctor has also reassured his fans that he’s perfectly fine through an interview with Daily Sun and said that he wasn’t shocked by the mugging because the country is infested with criminals.

The doctor stated in the interview:

“I’m fine. I was not shocked that it happened because of the state of violence and crime in our country. So, I think we’re used to such things these days that I was like, okay it happened.

If anything the mugging took me by surprise. It took me a minute to realise somebody had stolen my phone. I was passing by to greet a friend.  It’s a car wash and an eatery. You don’t even think anybody could ever pull something at a place like that. And I don’t think I’d have suspected him even if I had seen him beforehand because there are people who are just passing there.”

Here were some reactions from his fans:

"We love and we appreciate you Doc, we also thank God for his love and protection towards you. May He continue to cover you under his shadow."
