According to the Sunday Sun, controversial Afro-pop singer Kelly and her sister travelled all the way to Durban to visit Senzo’s parents, but they should perhaps have called before the visit, as they were reportedly met with a very chilly reception.
The Orlando Pirates goalkeeper’s father Sam and his wife apparently thinks Kelly ruined their son’s life and reputation, not to mention his marriage to wife Mandisa.
The publication quotes a source who witnessed the incident, and who claims that Sam said to Kelly: “Who said we wanted to see the child. You’re an embarrassment who brought drama into my son’s life.”
And a friend of Senzo reportedly confirmed: “Sam told Kelly to voetsek with her baby as she was not his makoti. She burst into tears and asked Sam why he hates her so much. Sam told her that he had no respect for her and she should get the hell out of his place.”
When approached for comment, Sam confirmed that Kelly showed up on his doorstep and that he “chased her away”, but refused to be drawn on the details, while Kelly apparently just hung up the phone.
