Khaya Mthethwa was married to model and former Miss SA Ntando Kunene for two years before divorcing in 2019. Speaking to influencer Mpoomy Ledwaba, Khaya said he struggled with the divorce and that it happened around the COVID-19 pandemic and was thankful that churches were closed because he probably would have collapsed.“I really struggled, I'm not going to lie. That has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through and I never want to go through it again ... I cannot believe I came out of that hole,” he said. “And when I went through it, it was during the period of lockdown. We broke up, then we went into lockdown. I was alone in my house for eight months ... Thank God I didn't have to go to church because I would have collapsed.
“It was a period for me to unlearn and it was a huge awakening to the man I was and a huge awakening to who I wanted to be. I was on antidepressants and I was sleeping my life away,” he told Mpoomy.
However, in terms of the gay allegations, Khaya has always dismissed the rumours and focussed on what has made his money. However, this past week, the father of one was excited as he got to spend time with his son in light of there being school holidays. Unfortunately, when taking to social media to share an excursion he had with his son, it went viral for all the wrong reasons.
Khaya Mthethwa moaning goes viral
Recently taking to social media, Khaya shared a video of him and his son at BOUNCE Inc. where he and his son were playing on the trampoline. With the sound off, the video is innocent enough. However, it is when you turn on the sound that the video takes an interesting take.
This is as Khaya can be heard moaning suggestively in the six seconds clip. As such, the comments had comical responses to the video.
However, it seems that Khaya was offended that social media users would “sexualise” a video where his young son is featured. This is as he returned to Twitter to call out social media users for this reason.
But social media users were not having it. This is as when listening to the video, the sounds that Khaya is making are suggestive. Therefore, if he was so bothered by the alleged sexualisation thereof he could have taken down the video. However, it is still available.
