After the death of Vuyo Mbuli rumours of a possible affair between the Morning Live presenter and socialite Kuli Roberts became public knowledge. It all started when Vuyo’s wife, Savita attacked Roberts as one of the 18 women her husband allegedly had affairs with. Kuli Roberts has been tight-lipped about the accusations but now wants to set the record straight. In an interview with Heat magazine she opened up about the situation and how she feels like everyone has ganged up on her and are not interested in her side of the story.
“It’s no secret that I have issues with Shumi Dantile (a Mbuli family friend), Savita Mbuli, who was estranged from Vuyo before his death, Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu and Basetsana Khumalo,’’ she says.
The KayaFM presenter believes that she is being bullied by these group of women while she stands alone in this publicised battlefield.
During the interview Roberts spoke about Vuyo in a positive light, explaining that there was no affair:
“I wasn’t close to Vuyo, but he was a good guy, I never even kissed him. He didn’t touch me. He was a very respectful man.”
Roberts also confirmed that she was not fired from her job at KayaFM but is taking some time off, insisting that all she wants is to be left alone.
“I’ll never recover. People laugh about it now, but I will always be upset by it. Once again it’s discrediting who I am and it will forever be on Google’’ she told the magazine.
Do you feel sorry for Kuli?
