Ambitiouz Entertainment

To a certain extent, we can understand why the leaving of numerous Ambitiouz Entertainment artists has come to a surprise to many of you.

Firstly, for a fairly new record company, they've been doing extremely well for themselves so much so that upcoming artists who have seen Ambitiouz Entertainment's body of work have dreamed of being signed to the record label.

If we were artists we would definitely want to be signed to Ambitiouz as well.

Unfortunately, with the sudden departure of Fifi Cooper, A-Reece and Bench Marq it has created some form of doubt with the masses.

Not to say that the break-up between Ambitiouz Entertainmentand its artists means the demise of the record label in its entirety but the local and international music industry has a history of witnessing record labels either falter or completely fall to their knees.

Let's take it abroad a bit with a few examples:

Murder Inc

In the early to mid-2000's we had the likes of Murder Inc which was responsible for artists such as the likes of Ashanti, Charlie Baltimore. Lloyd and of course, it's biggest artist to date, Ja Rule.

But as we headed to the late 2000's we saw the empire crumble in front of our eyes.

Ruff Ryders

A dominant record label in the late 90's to 2000's that introduced us to the likes of EVE, DMX, Swizz Beats & of course the Lox. What also caught our attention about this particular record label was their intense need for speed as the artists and some of it's crew members rode in quad bikes, fast cars, and motorbikes in every other music video.

And although the record label is still present, it sure isn't as dominant as it used to be.

Let's bring it home a bit. Anybody remember  Bull Dogs Entertainment?

The record label was responsible for the likes of Mswawa, Mshoza and Mzambiya but fast forward to 2017 and the label is nowhere to be found.

T.S Records

Although TS Records is still very much present in the music industry it has taken a back seat throughout the years and it, just like Ambitiouz Entertainment has lost some artists throughout the years.

Before his untimely passing, Brown Dash had also left T.S Records.

Remember iZinyokanyoka? What happened to them?

At some point Ntando had also left TS Records but returned to the stable as well.

Then there was Pro, who had a very brief stay at T.S records. The rapper only produced one album from the label and left.

So the bottom line is that people shouldn't be shocked at BenchMarq, Fifi Cooper and A-Reece going their separate ways. The music industry is a business and it's a cut-throat business that will see many artists and record labels come and go.

Then there was DJ Cleo's Wheel of Steel Productions that housed artists such Pitch Black Afro.

But for now, let's just enjoy the music and talent that Ambitiouz Entertainment is bringing to the masses.

We're secretly hoping everyone will go to sleep tonight and wake up to the news that the break up between Ambitiouz and it's artists was just a bad joke.
