According to a report on Zimoja Lezinto, the star is taking Ambitiouz to court over his song Ya Costa. Since Malome Vector left the stable a year ago, they have been fighting and it does not seem their fight is ending soon.
Malome Vector recently released his brand new track Ya Costa featuring 25K and Lizwi under his record label, The Whole Time Entertainment. Ambitiouz is also allegedly claiming ownership of the song.
An insider told the publication that Ambitiouz owner Kgosi Mahumapelo is trying, by all means, to ensure that artists signed to his stable succeed.
“The problem with Ambitiouz owner (Kgosi Mahumapelo) is that he is trying by all means not to see every artist that has been on the stable move forward. Malome left because he felt neglected and not recognised by the company as they kept fighting Intaba YaseDubai and Blaq Diamond. He was poorly marketed and at the same time he felt that the company should have used all the money and resources to take him to another level,” an insider told the publication.
“The situation of Malome Vector is the same thing as Dubai. He left the label before his contract was over, he has been releasing music on his own. Now they are fighting for a song because he had been promoting the song. Kgosi decided to release it first via Ambitiouz Entertainment and this did not sit well with Malome Vector, ” the source said. The star confirmed the case is being handled by his lawyer.
Intaba Yase Dubai left tongues wagging in April 2022 after he took to social media to claim that he did not receive R1 from Big Zulu Imali Eningi featuring him and the late Riky Rick.
Intaba Yase Dubai left tongues wagging in April 2022 after he took to social media to claim that he did not receive R1 from Big Zulu Imali Eningi featuring him and the late Riky Rick.
“Nothing in this world beats the pain of watching another man gain a lot of money from your hard work, while you are broke. I’m sorry but I hate features with all of my heart. Coz you have to act like we are all ok while only an individual is…” he claimed. “Mali Eningi has reached over 12 Million streams. But I’m broke. Never got even R1.”
Big Zulu then released a statement to set the record straight. According to him, they paid Ambitiouz Entertainment to compensate him for his share. Furthermore, he said that Nkabi Records paid the disgraced stable R94, 527, 31 over three payments between November 5th and February 11th. However, the label argued that the amount was not enough, since they would have to split the amount into 3 amounts to pay the artist, SAMRO, and get their share.
Afterwards, Intaba Yase Dubai issued a statement saying he was done with music but after careful consideration he decided he will not leave music but he would rather leave Ambitiouz. He shook fans when he announced his departure from the stable.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my supporters for the support, my family, close friends, The taxi owners, taxi drivers, Promoters, music industry colleagues and the Media Houses."
“Would also like to announce that me and Ambitiouz Entertainment have parted ways. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity and platform they gave me when no one did. Like I said before I am not fighting anyone or Ambitiouz, I don’t like uncertainty. I Almost gave up on music because I was not paid what I deserve and what I worked hard for,” he wrote.
He claimed that the stable was paying him R3700 a month but the Ambitiouz denied the claims. “Last year I was depressed and frustrated because I was gigging almost every weekend, but come month end I get paid R3,700? After being in-depth reflection on my career, I won’t quit music, I love it and I am passionate about it, most importantly that’s the only source I have to feed my family," he claimed.
