Bonang Matheba might be one of the leading media personalities in the country. However, one thing about Queen B*, it seems that the money that she is making from her House of BNG alcoholic brand is more than enough for her. This comes, as she has done little to nothing in recent months in terms of television or presenting work.

This is despite her initial sentiments at the beginning of the year when she “returned” with the launch of her new YouTube channel and the revamped YouTube-based reality format show B*Dazzled 2.0. Since then, Matheba has only been prominent on social media. Twitter specifically. As such, it seems that is where Matheba has teased her next ambitious move.

Bonang teases running for president

It has been confirmed that President Cyril Ramaphosa has finally passed the amended Electoral Amendment Bill of 2022. The change in the bill allows for the first time in the country for independent presidential hopefuls to have the ability to run for president without the backing of a political party.
Seems like when Bonang heard the news, she felt that she can stand in good stead to win an election should she decide to run for president. A fact which was supported by her fans.
Matheba’s presumed aspiration to run for president is not wholly a surprise considering just how she has been involved as an unconfirmed “political watchdog.”

This could include her twar with former Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa. As reported most recently:

Award-winning South African media personality Bonang Matheba is celebrating after president Cyril Ramaphosa reshuffled Nathi Mthethwa on Monday evening.

Mthethwa who has faced allegations of continued failings in his portfolio has been replaced by Zizi Kodwa, who has been appointed as the replacement for Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture.

It is no secret that Queen B was not a fan of Nathi's work. Bonang was constantly taking digs at Mthethwa and questioning his competency as Minister of Arts and Culture. Ever since the announcement of the R22 million for a monumental flag, she has been taking digs at him and even called him "useless."

Taking to Twitter after the president reshuffled the cabinet, she tweeted "Wonderful."
Or her subtle warning to incoming Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa. As reported

In light of the cabinet reshuffle announced earlier this week, ANC NEC member and politician, Zizi Kodwa was announced as the new incoming Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture. As soon as his statement was announced, Zizi fast began his media trail speaking on his intention as the new Sports, Arts and Culture Minister.

Following his second interview with Robert Marawa on 947 recently. When clips of the interview were posted, Bonang returned to Twitter to wish Zizi good luck in his tenure. A tweet which also seemed to suggest that she was keeping a close eye on the minister and his efforts to support artists.
