Maps Maponyane is on a mission to educate people about coronavirus and the best way to do it, is to chat live with a person who has contracted the virus.

He also preached to his followers the importance of staying indoors to help curb the spread of the virus.

The personality and businessman went on Instagram live with his friend Naledi Radebe, who tested positive for COVID-19.

The content creator revealed on Maps' IG live that she has been under self quarantine for 15 days since testing positive. She revealed that since isolating herself, she has had the time to reflect on many things in her life.

Naledi also kills time by drawing for the first time in ten years and reading books as well.

"You just have to find things to do ... The first week, I was binge-watching Netflix and I was also researching the reports on this disease...It really is being played out in real time, so you're literally being updated with every step," she revealed.

She then talked about how she contracted the virus, warning how easily it can be spread. Naledi caught the virus from simply hugging a friend who had it. After feeling very sick, she knew she had to get tested.

"Before my first symptom, I feel pretty normal. Just after I got tested, I got a phone call from a friend who I had been with here in SA asking me if I had any symptoms. They said they had been in contact with someone who had Covid-19,"
