Just hours after he claimed to have abused his girlfriend, whose name is not know at this point, Mbuso's bae came out to deny any abuse claims.

The video which Mbuso Mandela made, then quickly deleted, got screen recorded by various social media users. In the video, he admitting to abusing and strangling his girlfriend, “I am a woman abuser.”

“My name is Mbuso Mandela, and I am a woman abuser. I put my girlfriend’s head through the window and through the trellidor, and I strangled her. She needs me to admit it so I am admitting it. In front of everybody. To everybody,” he claimed.

But the said girlfriend denied this and said Mbuso only made the video because they had fought and she called him on his bluff that he would never do anything to her.

Only wearing a black bikini, the girlfriend showed people her non bruised body and said the only bruise she has was when she bumped into someone, and that left a blue mark.

“I’m doing this video just to show to you guys that he did not abuse me. I don;t know why...well I do, know why he posted that. In our angry little fight I called him on his bluff. As you can see there are no bruises. My face is fine.

“Not too sure where he had my head through a trellidor, but I’m pretty sure it would have been swollen. There’s the trellidor, no marks. You will notice that there is a small blue mark over there, but that happened maybe Thursday when I was at Saint.

“Bumped into a person, and got a blue mark, and I bruise easily, so as you can see, nothing,” she said.

Now we do not know what is going on between the two of them but we can surely hope if the girlfriend is being abused, she does not defend her alleged abuser and takes a stand.

Gender based violence is pandemic which has surged rapidly over the last few years in the country, which called for immediate action from the Presidency. A lot of our ZAlebs have at one point opened up about their experience with this senseless crime.

For one, there is Kelly Khumalo who allegedly suffered abuse at the hands of her baby daddy Jub Jub. She also claimed that he introduced her to drugs as well.

“Toxic is an understatement – it was really bad. Hence even now, I have no desire to see the guy. Even hearing his name makes me cringe,” said Kelly in an interview with

“I was introduced to drugs by him.” She said. “Because that’s not who I am. You know the saying says – the company you keep determines who you become – I kept that kind of toxic company. And I became part of it. I became that company. But the minute I stepped out, I was able to find myself again. Who I was raised to be and who I want to be.”

“I think it’s not just a Kelly thing. It’s what we go through as individuals where we feel like, who we are has to die to give life to this relationship. And also, it happens a lot when you are not self-aware. And when you are not informed and understand what it means to be in a relationship. What it means to love a person. I was young, I mean when I met that guy – I was 25.

"For me it was okay, relationship – I was hurt – and I wanted to give a lot of who I am to get the love that I thought I deserved from him. Forgetting that I needed to give myself that kind of love. And I needed to understand what it means to be in a relationship. You need o give this more attention before you can want to be in a relationship with anyone. Or even define, a kind of love and relationship that you want to be part of.”

Admitting to the abuse is one thing but changing for the better is being a step closer to fighting this. Skeem Saam actor Patrick Seleka admitted to being an abuser to his wife and baby mama.
