His wife, Sarah Masilela has come out to say that she stands by her husband.
According to The Citizen, in June, Mdu was allegedly accused by his wife of pulling a gun on her after an argument broke out between the couple at their home in Sandton.
In a statement, Sarah had claimed that Mdu had threatened to shoot her in the head but only then fired shots in the air. Police spokesperson, Lungelo Dlamini had confirmed that the Kwaito star had indeed appeared at the Randburg Magistrate Court for the gun assault but was then released on bail.
The public has since expressed its dissapointment at Sarah's decision to support her husband.
