Soapie actor Melusi Yeni faced the wrath of a woman scorned in an awkward public spat with girlfriend Angela Dzara recently, after she discovered he hadn't told her he has a child with another woman.
According to the Daily Sun, the commotion behind the closed door of Yeni's changeroom at the 'Muvhango' studios resembled the on-screen drama of the soapie.
Yeni - who is known for his former role as Phenyo in Generations but who now plays Pat in Muvhango - was reportedly given an earful by his girlfriend after she found out via the media that he recently appeared in maintenance court for failing to support his child.
The actor is believed to have a child with a woman who lives in his complex, this following a steamy one-night stand.
"Words such as b**ch, liar, cheater, bastard and many others were used. Melusi was embarrassed and didn't know what to do or say and the crew was shocked to hear of their love affair," an insider said of the awkward incident.
Dzara, a make-up artist, apparently resigned from her job at Muvhango in the wake of the argument, and is now working for 'Scandal!'.
"She comes from a wealthy family and didn't rely on Muvhango's money to live well," another source explained.
"In fact, she told us that her parents advised her to leave the soapie so they (her and Melusi) can have space to cool off. If she were to stay there, we would have to enjoy their endless fights."
When approached for comment, the soapie's publicist, Amanda Ngudle, neither confirmed nor denied the incident, saying: "This is an internal matter and we can't openly comment about it."
Still on the topic of soapies find out what Generations actress Maggie Benedict had to say about the theft charges she was arrested for right here.
