Motlatsi hosts 'Unefa', is Mzansi Magic's new docu-reality series that follows the lives of South Africans who are surprised by the fact that they have an unclaimed inheritance.
Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net Nomsa Philiso said, 'Unefa' will take viewers on an emotional, entertaining, hopeful, reflective and heart-warming journey where unsuspecting beneficiaries are surprised with an unclaimed inheritance from their deceased loved ones”.
"The show’s premise is created on the fact that every year many South Africans pass on, leaving their loved ones with the gift of an inheritance, but every year many South Africans miss their blessings and never receive that money.
'This may be due to incorrect personal details (where their information was either wrongly logged or not updated) or the beneficiary is a minor at the time of death, resulting in payment where the money is held by the Guardian’s Fund. Others don’t receive their funds for sneakier reasons such as lack of transparency between family members.
Unefa will trace the relationship between the family and the deceased while sharing the beneficiary’s healing process. Mzansi Magic said each episode culminates with their reaction during the moment of truth when the big surprise is revealed: that they will be receiving an inheritance!
The show follows other Mzansi Magic successful docu-reality series such as 'I Blew It' viewers were let into the lives of those who once had millions but blew them within years or even months of having the millions. They did not get financial advice and because of that bad financial decisions were made.
Viewers saw people like Tso Vilakazi, the former Orlando Pirates mid-fielder narrate how he lost his millions when his life was marred with a number of different girls and expensive cars that he has lost because one cannot be a soccer player forever.

It is going to be refreshing to see the other side, we hope these families will use their money wise and well and unlike those on I Blew It will get the financial literacy they need to sustain themselves and future generations.
Motlatsi is also part of the Judging panellists on a Mzansi Magic show that premiered last night Madiba Do Up. The show is in honour of Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday. The show will see schools compete for a renovation that will see their school provide all the necessities that the kids need.
Young kids between the ages of 7-10 will bring out their skills and talents and get together a show-stopping performance against the other schools. Each group of kids has a maximum of 15 kids and should the number specified, that will be an automatic disqualification. We cannot wait to see the kids belt it out for their respective schools over the coming weeks.
Catch Unefa on Wednesday, 7 July on Mzansi Magic at 8pm.
