e.TV’s Scandal has dealt with some backlash recently when it was reported that Sello Sabotsane was joining the cast. The backlash stemmed from the fact that just days before, the soapie had announced that veteran actress Shoki Mmola was joining the cast.
At the centre of the scandal was the fact that the two were previously married. However, Shoki left the marriage in fear for her and her children’s lives due to just how abusive Sello was allegedly towards her. However, the soapie and the channel have seemingly decided to shake off the scandal and give fans what they want.
This is as it was announced that a fan-favourite character was returning. As reported:
It has been more than a year since the actor took a break from the show, but he is bang with a bang.
"Tebello has experienced all types of lifestyles. He has moved from an abusive environment in a shack, to a hotel in Newtown, and now lives with his grandfather in Soweto. Through all this, he is still growing, and he finally finds true love. He meets a girl in the taxi rank and decides that he cannot let her go, as this is the first time he finds a love like this. Is this love at first sight," said Scandal! in a statement.
In light of the announcement, viewers of the soapie have been speculating whether Tibi’s mother figure Yvonne or YV will return with the teenage character.
However, Kgomotso Christopher has been playing coy on the socials about the matter.
Kgomotso Christopher coy about returning to Scandal!
Taking to Twitter, Kgomotso Christopher welcomed the news that Litlhonolofatso Litlhakanyane was returning to Scandal! As a result of her celebratory post, fans of the SAFTA award-winning actress then posed the question of whether or not she will return with the young actor.
But when pressed on whether or not she will be making her return. More so as Legacy has been cancelled and there has not been an announcement suggesting that Kgomotso is working on any new projects since. It seems that there is a great chance that Kgomotso might return to reprise the role which earned her her SAFTA award.
Especially, since she did not reject the idea entirely. Instead, she left the matter open-ended. As such, she might be waiting for the official word from the production to be circulated before taking to her own timeline to confirm her return to Scandal!
