Uzaloactress Nompilo Maphumulo, who portrays Nosipho in the SABC 1 drama, has found herself at the centre of a fake news article.
An article titled Uzalo Nosipho Open Letter To Cyril Ramaphosa (Dear President) was published on a fake news website. The article alleged that the actress had written to the president about having supported the ANC for years but now it was time for the ruling party to "fall".
Taking to her official social media account, Nompilo let her fans and followers know that the article was completely false and that she had no affiliation with the article and the contents expressed.

TheUzalo production also shared on their social pages that the use of Nompilo's image and character name is in complete violation of the actress.
"#Uzalo has a zero-tolerance policy and is working closely with Nompilo to ensure this matter is dealt with accordingly," shared Uzalo.
