Pearl said it is embarrassing that they charge a huge amount but their service is still poor, "We need to discuss British Airways charging like R6000 for a one way trip to Cape Town, which I have done, and then they just serve you still water and sparkling water. SAA and Airlink are serving food, drinks even if it's tricky.
British airways is charging 6k for business class and all you get is water. I'm sure the other flights are serving a spaza moment in the air and here we are thinking we are cute and we are suffering drinking sparkling and still water, not even a coca cola. Rude, very rude, are you not embarrassed? It's very embarrassing" she ranted..Pearl is one of the country's most outspoken TV personalities and she has a tell it like it is attitude. She recently threatened to boycott FW De Klerk's funeral should he be granted a state funeral. Pearl said the former stateman does not deserve a state funeral as a result of the inhumane treatment of black people during his term of office in the apartheid era. In a twitter rant, Pearl tweeted, “If FWDEKLERK gets a state funeral, it will be a big middle finger for those who suffer under the apartheid regime in this country.“ she ranted.
"I feel a bit weird to celebrate any one’s death. Im indifferent about him being dead or alive. Maybe he was already dead to me because I’m definitely not sad," she continued.

De Klerk died last week Thursday after a battle with cancer. His family recently released a statement that he would be cremated in a private ceremony. “The FW de Klerk Foundation wishes to announce that FW de Klerk's cremation and funeral will take place on Sunday, November 21. It will be a private ceremony for family members and will not be open to the media," the foundation said.
In a recording released by the De Klerk foundation, he apologized for the damage caused by the apartheid regime to black people. “I, without qualification, apologise for the pain and the hurt and the indignity and the damage that apartheid has done to black, brown and Indians in South Africa,”
