It seems that when a person has reached some level of success, there will be those that attempt to piggyback on said success in order to propel their own names. This time, that hate was directed at leading South African YouTuber and podcaster MacGyver “MacG" Mukwevho.

MacG has established himself as one of the leading local podcasters through his Podcast and Chill YouTube-based popular podcast with fellow hosts Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady. Moreover, due to the success of his own podcast, he has diversified his channel into a “network” with other podcasts available on the channel including Popcorn and Cheese, The Queer Way of Life with Bujy Bikwa, On The Table, and Podcarst and Ride to name just a few.
However, despite all of this. Including sharing his own podcast to elevate other podcasters like Penuel the God, who recently accused MacG of being a gatekeeper due to his popularity on the red app. As reported:
Penuel the Black Pen is a YouTuber and podcaster who has his own podcast besides co-anchoring DJ Sbu’s The Hustler’s Corner. Moreover, Penuel is Nota’s friend if his latest utterances are anything to go by. Given Nota’s history of attacking females and in addition to his triggering utterances on social media, you would believe that Penuel would be seeking help for Nota.
But Penuel seems to think that Nota has a good heart. As such, he compared Nota to MacG by suggesting that Nota’s good heart is unlike that of MacG, who he labelled as a gatekeeper because MacG allegedly does not support up-and-coming podcasters and YouTubers via his channel.
However, now it seems that Penuel has had a change of heart.
Penuel backtracks on MacG and Sol Phenduka hate
It seems that the fear of being blackballed by MacG’s subscribers, the Chlllers, has made Penuel the Black Pen have a change of heart on his previous sentiments that MacG is a gatekeeper on YouTube. This is as he had recently released a solo video this time in an attempt to contextualise his previous sentiments where he believes he was taken out of context.
As such, Penual explains that his intentions with his previous sentiments were not to create animosity between himself and MacG and Sol Phenduka. But his intention was to highlight how MacG only, or mostly, is focussed on growing his own channel and not the channels of others as he rarely visits other podcasts…
He then adds that similar to his own recent unfavourable remarks, MacG has also said untrue statements about him like he is a sellout due to his affiliation with billionaire Rob Hersov. As such, Penuel is looking forward to the day that he can sit with MacG and Sol and air out his grievances with the manner in which they have handled their success on YouTube and podcasting locally.
