South Africans woke up to news that former Bafana Bafana player, Phil Masinga passed away after a long illness.
Taking to Twitter, the official Bafana Bafana account confirmed that the 49-year-old former soccer player passed away with a message from SAFA President, Dr Danny Jordaan.
"Sad day for South African football. A loyal servant of the game, on and off the field of play - SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan on passing away of @BafanaBafana legend Phil Masinga."
