Our Perfect Wedding's host, Phumeza Mdabe has certainly caused a divide in opinion. From many saying they don't want her on the show outright, to many pleading we give her a chance, she has been a talking figure on the latest season of the show for the wrong reasons at times. However, it seems as if she's ready to leave the reality show because she’s neglecting her family.
According to Sunday World, Mdabe revealed that the hectic production schedule for the show is getting to her, so she’s strongly considering passing the presenting baton onto someone else when the current season of the show ends.
“I do not think that the next season I am going to be on. I am grateful for the experience and I loved doing it. But I miss my family so much. I hardly get to see the kids and the husband. It is a huge sacrifice,” she admitted.
The presenter also revealed that she basically only sees her husband and children two days a week, and has been for some six months, with the tight schedule for filming, rehearsing, and voice over work sometimes requiring 18 hours of work per day.
Phumeza has four children and is married to Mnqobi Mdabe, better known as musician Shota, who kicked off his music career as a member of Shona, alongside Demor Sikhosana and DJ Blackcoffee.
