Prosper Mkwaiwa's sister Melanie has told Drum magazine her family will not recognise neither Tina Jaxa nor Tina Dlangwana as the late businessman's wife because they do not qualify.
Prosper, who died two weeks ago, was still legaly married to Jaxa, and was traditionally married to Dlangwana. Speaking to Drum, Melanie said the Mkwaiwa family would devide Prosper's as they saw fit and not through the courts. She told the mag that her brother died alone.
Although Prosper was still legally married to Jaxa, they pair separated years ago. At the time of his death, the music promoter was involved with Dlangwana and they were going through a divorce.
Melanie told Drum that Dlangwana was not rightful wife.
She added: "If she [Dlangwana] was there by Prosper's side we would have respected that but she had left. Tina Dlangawana had taken everything when she moved out. There were no plates or cutlery. We had to buy new things for the funeral."
Jaxa redused to comment, while Dlangwana told said: "If the family refuses to recognise me then they are foolish."
Meanwhile, it was reported that both Tinas were at loggerheads at Prosper's home in Mpumalanga.
