We've heard many disappointing stories about the incompetence of the SAPS. While there are many policeman who are dedicated to doing their jobs, many just suck at it.
Rachel Kolisi was fuming on Instagram after several attempts to call 10111 were fruitless - this after her husband Siya Kolisi's car was broken into.
Rachel narrates that it was the car guard who caught the alleged criminal: "Siya's car was broken into two hours ago. The car guard caught the guy. We called the cops and still waiting for them to arrive. Also, don't ever bother calling 10111. They literally don't answer the phone.
“The car guard said once the cops are here, they're going to give the guy a warning and release him. And they wonder why crime stats are through the roof out here.”
She further said that herself the security guard resolved to take the culprit to the police station themselves. Luckily he was arrested: " They arrested him and took statements from me and the car guard. Grateful something was done,” she said.
