With Tbo Touch's return to radio after 6 years away from the mics, he creates healthy competition for the other radio hosts. Touch will be hosting the afternoon drive time show from 3PM - 6PM, which is the exact same slot as Sizwe Dhlomo but he is not fazed.

The Touchdown with Tbo Touch will rival other drive time shows, including Sizwe's Kaya Drive with Sizwe Dhlomo. But Sizwe does not see any competition. In fact he congratulated the radio host and expressed excitement for his addition.
“Eyo @SizweDhlomo, Tbo Touch's return to Metro FM 3pm-6pm slot doesn't give you June-July because the real competition is coming, battle of the drive shows,” a tweep said.
But Sizwe just said in all honesty he is not bothered by anybody because he just does his own thing.
Touch's return was met with much excitement from fans but his speculated salary angered many people. But the SABC clarified that he will not be getting paid R500K, never mind R200K even.
Just a few hours ago, he confirmed his return with an image of him at the studios, warming his seat for him.
"Just testing mic. Check mic, check. Testing 1, 2, 3. April 1 your boy is in the building. Just popped in at Metro FM to check if my horns are intact. Can't believe it's been six years since I last sat on this chair.”
The broadcaster announced his return in a lengthy statement also announcing various line ups.
"The station is pleased to announce the new afternoon drive show, The Touchdown with Tbo Touch which will be presented by Thabo ‘Tbo Touch’ Molefe who is back and better than ever. The show will broadcast weekdays from 15:00 -18:00. A well experienced sports presenter, Morena Mothupi will be joining the team to do the sports segment. This new show promises to be high energy, fast paced and engaging."
In another statement they distanced themselves from people making exaggerated salary claims.
“The public broadcaster rejects this deliberate misinformation as it is misleading and factually incorrect. The SABC’s GCEO does not get involved in lineup negotiations, as that is the job of program managers and business managers. In addition, the SABC does not pay car allowances and other fringe benefits to freelancers.
“Lastly independent contractors do not get involved in soliciting sales and sponsorship, as the SABC does not have a commission scheme that covers individuals outside of Sales staff,” reads the statement.
