Media personality, Tumi Voster is one of the many child stars that have solidified their brands and built a career beyond their intial job, having gotten her first stint in the entertainment industry at the age of 15, the media personality has been taking strides and killing the game for more than a decade.
Following Voster being awarded the Gauteng Province Premier Youth Excellence and Service Award in the Arts & Culture category for her role as a young influencer in the province that has contributed growth and development through the various projects she’s done, the media personality got another nod from the University of Johannesburg as she was recognized as an honorary member of the Golden Key UJ Chapter society.
"The Golden Key Chapter Society of the University of Johannesburg identifies academic students but also prominent social figures that uphold the three pillars of academics, leadership and community service in society. And I was one of them! What a great honour!" she said, explaining what the award represented in an Instagram post.
The 5FM DJ is no stranger to recognition and has been recognised by renowned brands numerous times, she was named as one of Destiny Magazine's Most Powerful Women Under 40 in 2013, Mail & Guardian's Top 200 Young South African achievers in 2017, Avance Media's Top 100 Most influential Young South Africans in 2017 as well and continues to collect more accolades as she furthers her career and makes a great impact in society while she is at it.

The media personality went on to celebrate the milestone by popping champagne with close friends and her team.
“...It’s moments like these that push me to continue to strive for excellence! To be sitting on that stage amongst some great academics truly humbled me! It felt like graduation time all over again, except this time on a different level! Recognizing my vision, hard work and excellence.." she wrote.
