While for the most part, women and men have fawned over her body, it seems that there is one person who has irked Nkayi enough to remark on the unflattering and somewhat misogynistic comments made on her body.
“It’s only weak men that can body-shame us” - Unathi
Musa Khawula has worked hard in his attempt to be recognised as South Africa’s version of American broadcaster and former talk show host Wendy Williams. This is as he believes that his sometimes hateful comments are mere jest.
As such, it seems that recently he attempted to comment on Unathi and suggested that her abs were not ab-bing. This is as Musa suggested that Unathi’s midriff has access skin despite her flat tummy.
Safe to say when it reached Nkayi she became the latest star to take to social media to address Khawula’s women-hating sentiments. As such, she shared in part that:
“I wasn’t going to do a video about this because I don’t like to give weak men attention. But I realised it’s Mother’s Day on Sunday, and a lot of mothers get body-shamed for the fact that we can create life in our tummies- Bring up life from our tummies, and give life from our tummies.”
She then addressed Musa Khawula directly by stating:
“And ladies I want you to know that it is only weak men that can body-shame us for being the miracles that we are, and also body-shame us for something that they are physically incapable of being and doing. So, I want to ask a question to the man that who body-shamed me and wrote, “Flat tummy but you can see it’s gone through a lot.”
I wanna ask you, Sunday is approaching and it's Mother’s Day, do you think of the mother of the man that you have been accused of murdering? Musa Khawula. Do you think of Wandile Khawula’s mother, at all, as you think its okay to go around body-shaming people…Body-shaming people for things you cannot physically can never, ever be.
‘Cause we have nothing in common- In fact, we have one thing in common. We both her legal issues. Mine is to seek justice, yours… you’re being accused of being a murderer.”
Since the video has been shared on social media, Unathi has gained support as more people continue to speak out against Musa and his continually growing hateful and flippant remarks directed at ZAlebs and their children.
I hate when someone being bullied or bodyshamed by one single person then you call all men in this
