Zodwa Wabantu has landed in hot water with the Malawian citizens and they made it clear that she is not welcome in their country. This means Malawi has become the third country to ban her all because she is an exotic dancer.

In a letter by Minister Usi from the Malawian Tourism, Culture and Wildlife department states that the Malawian government does not support Zodwa's exotic dancing ways, citing that her 'morally degrading stage acts' are not allowed in the country.

"In processing Zodwa's application, the Censorship Board had to review the pictures and videos that are in circulation depicting Zodwa on stage. This Ministry has noted that Zodwa has built her career and fame around morally degrading stage acts which include flaunting her nudity to audiences," a part of the letter reads.

The ministry then decided Zodwa cannot perform on stage at the event.

"In this regard, we write to communicate that this Ministry has not cleared Zodwa Wabantu to perform in Malawi or be part of the event in any other capacity.

"We are requesting your Ministry to enforce the relevant immigration laws so that the artist is prohibited from entering Malawi at the time the event is being hosted."

Even though she is banned from ever setting her foot on stage, that did not discourage her to attend the festival she was booked at. Zodwa took to social media to reveal that she will be going there to support an Amapiano artist Zukani.

“I am so excited to come to Malawi because it’s the biggest night of amapiano. I won’t be performing, but I am coming as a guest to support the biggest artist of amapiano in South Africa, which is Zukani," said Zodwa. “So I am coming, I won’t perform, I will be fully dressed, I will sit down, I will comply with the rules, I will just take pictures with my fans.”

Zodwa was also previously banned from performing in Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Another star who was banned in another country was Somizi Mhlongo. The Idols SA judge was slated to make an appearance in Zimbabwe but got banned.

The Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ) pleaded with the president of the country to not allow Somizi there, "Somizi is a homosexual, hence according to our people driven constitution, Zimbabwe doesn't tolerate homosexuality."

Responding to the uproar, in a video, Somizi said, "If it means you not wanting me for me being me, authentically me, keep it. Keep your space. Keep your country I don't want to be there anyway."

"I'm okay with it, but I'm not okay at the same time, because I could easily say, I don't care. I live in a country where I'm free to be me. It does not affect me because I don't need to go anywhere else because I am safe, I am comfortable, I am happy in my country. Our Constitution is better than anywhere else in the world."
