Eish, the effects of the COVID-19 lockdown are harsh with some people losing income.
E.tv's Morning Show hosts are the first publicly known entertainment industry workers to lose their jobs due to the coronavirus outbreak.
According to reports William Lehong, Clement Manyathela and Tumelo Mothotoane have been given the big chop at the free to air channel.
The Morning Show is produced by Cheeky Media, which also produced Real Talk On SABC 3.
The Daily Sun reports that the staff was informed of the channel's decision earlier this week.
“As per our meeting held today (26 March 2020), e.tv has pulled The Morning Show off-air due to government regulations. At this stage, the entire nation is unsure of the duration of this pandemic and Cheeky Media is no exception.
“We’re facing trying times, with our key clients having canceled campaigns and cut down spend as they too are unsure of what the next couple of months will entail,” read a letter which Daily Sun has seen.
