Victor Osimhen has stepped into the recruitment process for Lesley Ugochukwu, urging the midfielder to consider a move to Turkish champions Galatasaray.
Osimhen’s pitch and the Galatasaray talks
Osimhen has reportedly contacted Ugochukwu to encourage him to join Galatasaray.
Fan reports suggest the striker’s call played a major role in helping persuade the player to select Galatasaray.
Galatasaray’s negotiations have moved forward, with Ugochukwu’s representative being invited to Istanbul to help complete the discussions.
Those talks are now described as official between the two clubs and the player’s manager.
As negotiations progress, Burnley are understood to be pushing for a contract structure that includes a mandatory purchase clause, activated once the player reaches a specified number of appearances.
Galatasaray are expected to cover a loan payment of roughly five million euros to Burnley, with a buy option then set at around 20 million euros.
There is also a financial split tied to earlier arrangements involving the player, with part of the deal expected to be directed to Chelsea due to the agreements between Burnley and Chelsea.
