Beloved South African DJ and radio personality Lamiez Holworthy has finally opened about pregnancy. Following her fans inquiry about when she’ll be having babies, the star took to Twitter to answer their question.
Lamiez, who’s now 28-years-old, told her fans that she is too young to fall pregnant and it would feel like teenage pregnancy if she were to have a baby now. “But then I feel like it would be a teenage pregnancy If I were to fall pregnant now. Ke sale ngwana nna (I’m still a child).”
Some of her followers were surprised by her statement as they thought they’d be seeing little Lamiezes and Khuli Chanas running around soon.
“If you want children you better make them now than later. Your children should grow up with you. It's better that way.”
“I remember when my young sister friends said that my mom is old to be my sister mom infact they called her koko wa Matshepo and nna ke Mama Matshepo and so how most young kids don't really know who is Mama Matshepo between me and my mom they just call us mama Matshepo.”
Not all of her followers were negative as some came out to show her support.
“If you feel that you are not READY for a child don't fall pregnant people will make u feel like something is wrong with you mara won't tell u the truth ka di struggle and emotions tsa motherhood.”
“Yay n how it takes its toll on a mother behind the scenes of cute pics n all kuyanyiwa
U don't sleep
Hardly rest
Ur body is drained ei kubi motherhood is hard baby gets ill U get so emotional aowa”
“At 40/50 some people will have the energy to be chasing a toddler around and some won't hence they had them earlier. It's a matter of preference and what u think will be okay for you.
I personally don't wanna change diapers in my 40s and 50s, kids need attention and energy.”
