London-based Zaleb Takkies has opened up about her first born's first week at school and as you can imagine, it was a beautiful day filled with a ton of excitement.

Takkies took to Instagram to share what she felt as Sana made her way to school. She said, "This week our beautiful Sana started nursery and there’s been so much excitement in the house. She loved her first day but I was such a mess. I’m really happy for her and at the same time I’m going through all the emotions of realising that she is growing up.

I cried so much after dropping her off and I didn’t expect to. I wasn’t ready. I thought I would be jumping up and down celebrating the extra time I was getting 😂😂

Today is day 3 and I feel much better. In the last few days I’ve learned to let go a little and look at the bigger picture. I’ve done a great job as her Mom and now it’s time for her to spread her wings and share her love with other beautiful kids as they enter a new world of learning and discovery.

Takkies also shared a video of her dropping off Sana at school and Suri was on the ride along. We are sure Sana had an amazing day with the type of energy her mom started her day on. Beautiful to witness.

Even though Takkies has been living it up in the UK, sis came down to SA this past weekend for her highly successful dancing class Rocking n Heels. It was a 2 hour dancing session where people were not just taught to dance in heels but to also love their beautiful bodies. The attendees were also given an opportunity to network over over a delicious brunch.

In other news, although this is not exactly a first day at school, it is still worth a mention. Zodwa Wabantu announced months ago that she was going back to school to study acting. Zodwa joined Star Quality Performing Arts College.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Zodwa her first day was a bag full of mixed emotions. She said, "My first day at school was a bag of mixed emotions. I was excited and nervous at the same time, but I really enjoyed myself. Everyone was welcoming and friends. It was better than I imagined it would be. My first day was not hectic. We had a brief introduction to what we’d be doing throughout the course, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for me because I’m ready for every challenge on the way"
