The battles we have met have been difficult to overcome together and I ask that you respect us by not sensationalizing our separation."

I think anyone going through something this complex and painful would understand why l wouldn't want anyone to have a front row seat to my grieving but with that being said... Sizwe and I remain friends"

Lerato Kganyago and Thami Ndlela

In what was one of Mzansi's shortest marriages LKG announced her split from her ex husband Thami after less than two months of marriage. Her social media statement was short and revealed nothing sinister about the split. “It is with sadness that we announce that Thami and I have decided to go our separate ways. We have come to realize that our different priorities and workloads have not afforded us the time to invest in our relationship. We will continue to care deeply for each other, and look forward to growing our friendship,"

Sunday World

Mel confirmed the split to Sunday World and said that she is "so over it" and the wedding had been called off. "Relationships are relationships guys, they die, sometimes they work out, sometimes they don’t. I mean really, there is really nothing I can say. He was a good person, he was a good partner, he was an amazing partner but we had to be where we are today and I’m so… I’m happy for him. “We were both tired of each other. You know relationships, we decided that you know what, this is not good for us. This not for us.”
