It is without a doubt that reality show star Thobile MaKhumalo Mseleku, was not well received by Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD viewers this season. Her debut left many people with mixed reactions and they haven't stopped dragging her.

Avid viewers of the show have noticed that she is not comfortable around some of the ladies, except for Sorisha Naidoo. This could possibly be because there is some animosity between her and LaConco. But, with the nature of the show, they are forced to engage, and one could tell that they are not each other's favorites.

LaConco keeps throwing jabs at MaKhumalo and viewers don't appreciate that. She was even accused of encouraging the other ladies to hate on MaKhumalo.

In the latest episode of the show, Londie London addressed the big elephant in the room. She spoke about MaKhumalo allegedly distancing herself from the ladies. Makhumalo did not appreciate the accusations and she was praised for standing up for herself and setting the record straight.

She said she does not distance herself and she just won’t speak when she has nothing to say, "I am not distancing myself, I am not disappearing. I just won't speak when I don't have anything to say."

MaKhumalo was recently dragged after she appeared in her home in Mzumbe. Many thought she was going to show off a glamorous home in the heart of eThekwini. Speaking to Drum Magazine, she said she is authentic and said she would have not been if she showed viewers a home in Durban.

"If you know MaKhumalo then you’d know that she is someone from the rural areas. So, it was going to be misleading to find MaKhumalo, watching her for the first time on a new show, now you find her at a new house and not in Umzumbe," she told the publication.

“I am one person who is very content, I know who I am, and I do not think there is anything or anything who can make me change the way I look at myself. So regardless of what you believe in, it does not affect me. I know who I am and that does not change. I can try to look at thigs in a way and try to be considerate because if you are living with different people obviously, you need that because you are not the same including your backgrounds.”

According to her, the show's producers were not interested in her other properties. “Thirdly, the producers of the show wanted that aspect of a women from the rural areas who is able to live both the life of the urban as well as that of the rural areas.” If the producers only wanted to portray her urban life, she was not going to agree to it because she is deeply in love with her roots, she says.
