Scoop Makhathini on venturing into music
Radio personality and Hip-Hop commentator Scoop Makhathini announced that he is ready to drop his first single.
Siyabonga Ngwekazi, feels that his new music with his band will change the game and says that his forthcoming track will not be a rap single.
Scoop Makhathini in trouble with AKA, Kwesta and Cassper
Scoop is known for his controversial remarks on his “POPcast” YouTube show, which he initially co-hosted with Ms Cosmo, DJ Vigilante, DJ Speedsta.
A few months back Scoop Makhathini got into trouble for suggesting that AKA, Kwesta and Cassper should take a break from the music industry.
In a video of the podcast recording posted on Twitter, Scoop said:
"A lot of the dudes that are veterans in the game, I feel like (they) should take a break. AKA, Kwesta, Cassper, I feel like should go a year and just not release music and just chill. A part of me will always gravitate towards what they have to say because I know their story, but I feel like there are a lot of new artist that we might not be playing that are making much more better music than the established cats".
Scoop Makhathini’s beef with Ambitiouz Entertainment
Siyabonga Ngwekazi aka Scoop Makhathini has called out Ambitiouz Entertainment on numerous occasions, over their split from artists like Emtee, Fifi Cooper and A-Reece.
In multiple episodes on his “POPcast” YouTube show, Scoop has dragged the controversial record label for filth and has even has actually swore at the record label.
But it seems that contradictory statements run in the “Popcast” family considering the turn-around Scoop Makhathini on Ambitiouz Entertainment.
His latest tweet showering the record company with adoration has had many tweeps confused.
When Kwesta told Scoop Makhathini to take a break from entertainment
Scoop Makhathini got into some serious issues with tweeps and celebrities alike with his 'advice' to rap OG's to take a break from making music.
He called out a few rappers including Cassper Nyovest, AKA and Kwesta and told them they should take a year off as they don't bring anything new in terms of storytelling or deliverance.
Cassper Nyovest, AKA and Kwesta hit back with tweets suggesting that Scoop take a break instead.
