The rapper let it be Cassper Nyovest’s day on Friday, 11 September 2020, by also adding his voice and “support” for his arch nemesis. But with the release of the tracklist Supa Mega is making it clear that it is time to get into full swing and possibly save the hip-hop scene as many are suggesting that it needs a revival,

With the release of the tracklist for a project that is earmarked as an EP, AKA’s reveal showcased a few surprises that many were not expecting. The first surprise was that despite the project being earmarked as an EP it is set to have a total of 13 tracks. This is surprise as many EPs, and albums recently; think 2019’s Best Hip-Hop Album winner at SAMAs, have ten or less tracks on the project.  However, AKA made sure he continues to push the boundary with 13 tracks that should provide a listening experience of less than an hour.
Another surprise was the planned fourth track on the album, “Mufasa,” which is already a fan favorite if tweets streets are to be believed.  The track that clearly references arch nemesis, Cassper Nyovest, comes as surprise considering that with Cassper’s new release he came for many including Riky Rick and Scoop Makhathini, but steered away from mentioning AKA on the entire project. But it seems that AKA could not resist the temptation of giving fans what they want with a little spice and shade dedicated to Twitter’s longest running rivalry.
The leader of the Mega is yet to provide us with a release date for one of the two most anticipated hip-hop releases left for the year. Besides AKA’s “Bhoavamania,” hip-hop heads are awaiting the A-Reece project, and hoping that Emtee’s hiatus is the musician’s sabbatical so he can focus on creating a banger of project.

Anyway, AKA is set to release the EP with a merchandise range of the same that the streets are foaming at the mouth to get their hands on. What is left for the rapper to decide on before the release of the EP is the project’s cover art. But following his tweet on the matter it seems that he is settled already on what he had planned for the cover, which is going to be different from his signature albums’ artworks.
