TpZee's overnight fame has been short lived as it is reported that he is down and out. The over spending and over indulging has landed the Paris hit maker in hot water as he is facing serious financial difficulties as of late.

Speaking to Zimoja Lezinto, TpZee revealed that his music group entered into a five year contract with Cloud Nine music stable which has  working relationship with Sony Music as well. With only two years from their five year contract, there is a remainder of five more projects that are still outstanding.

At their prime, the group travelled all over the continent and had music festivals, concernts, events and club scenes dancing their feet off to their hit songs. However, things have since gone per shape as the money has stopped coming with less travelling and gigging as they used to.

“We gigged a lot, we travelled Tanzania, Nigeria, Botswana and then things went quiet last year November. We were gigging every weekend, sometimes five times a night and each gig paid us R45 000 which we would split among the three of us. When I went to gigs alone, I got R25 000. So we could afford it. I was sending money home for my three kids. But things became bad in November. We stopped getting gigs completely and we had to think of other ways of making money" reports the publication

After the group reportedly split last year to venture into a car wash business just to make an extra buck since the money was slowly coming in after gigs stopped. Little did they know that more financial difficulties were at the horizon.

“We thought going solo would alleviate us splitting the little we were now getting, still nothing. We opened a car wash that was a flop. Staff would sometimes not come. We washes the cars ourselves and people would judge us for being one-hit wonders. So, we had to close shop. Tpzee owes the label a few joint projects and solos." reports the publication

At the height of their career, the music label asked them to move out of Soweto to go and live in Bramley. However, since the money is no longer coming in, TpZee had to move out of Bramley and back to Soweto. Reportedly he has since fell into depression because of the new reality and his financial woes.

“I had to leave Bramley and go back to Soweto. I feel like a failure. People still judge. At the moment, I am surviving on making music at home for people and performances here and there but it’s not like before. I will not lie, I have been depressed but I know things will work out.” reports the publication.
