Bonang Matheba and Andile Ncube's relationship is something that is very inspirational. For those who have been living under a rock, Andile Ncube is the one person who gave young Bonang a chance when other people said she is too young.
Andile was a guest on Sphectacular and DJ Naves' podcast where he spoke Bonang's praises. Andile was not only the presenter for Live AMP he was also the producer who put Bonang on.
"I was doing very well for myself and I was living in my penthouse on the 5th floor. I went back down and found Bonang as she was walking out of her room because she was shooting So as I was walking into the studio, the image of her smiling and waving saying hi, never left.
"Two days later I asked everyone at the office, who is that girl," then he said someone told her she was there to audition for the Lotto but was too young because she was 19.
Then Andile said the producer for the Lotto show gave him all the details because they could not take her as she was 19 at the time.
He then said the one time he met her and the way they met, gave him joy. As someone who kind of established Bonang, Andile said he does not want to be given credit because he was just doing his job.
"I don't want credit for doing my job. My job was to find the very best co-anchor for this show and I found it. The accolade is in what she is doing, that is my remuneration. She needs to do better for me to even feel better," he said. He then added, "she is the best of our time!"
There was a time when Bonang sang Andile's praises for changing her life for the better. In an IG post, she said, "You changed my life. @andilencube!! I'll forever be grateful to you...Made my dreams come true!! THANK YOU!!"
Bonang's career has indeed been on an upward trajectory. She is a household name and even made waves in the States, and she is looking to return. But she is embroiled in a legal battle.
This involves her House Of BNG battle where B took to her Twitter account and dragged Executive Director of CSA Global, Davin Philips for filth. Bonang put her foot down and said enough is enough.
"One thing I WILL do, is stand up for myself!!! PUBLICLY!! I’ve had ENOUGH!! You’ve put me and my family through HELL the last 2 years!! And clearly being decent behind closed doors, isn’t the language you understand ANYMORE!!! I’m going to FIGHT!! Watch me!!"
Bonang further alleged, "You steal from black creatives!! I’m not the 1st one!! A quick Google search is all one needs…It ends TODAY!! @DavinPhillips. *Let the music play*"
But defending themselves, CSA sent out a statement to The South African, saying “These rants and raves by Ms. Matheba are very unfortunate and tarnish her own dignity and reputation. They are also another attempt by Ms. Matheba to distort and manipulate facts. To be clear, Ms. Matheba joined CSA in 2017 and the House of BNG was launched in 2019.
“Ms. Matheba is currently in breach of multiple contracts with various clients. The matter is currently with our lawyers and her breaches of contract will be decided upon by an arbitrator."
