Cassper Nyovest is having a massive year. Fresh from his big win at the 2015 Metro FM Music Awards, the rapper dropped a banging new music video for his track Ghetto, which features Anatii and DJ Drama. Amanda du-Pont, who recently came clean about her relationship with the rapper, also makes an appearance on the clip.
As expected, both the song and the video have received great reviews from fans. Will this be Cassper's new anthem? Speaking to ZAlebs, the rapper said he doesn't expect any of his future songs to be as big as Doc Shebeleza.
He explained: "Doc Shebeleza is a very special song. Some artists have one in their career, some have two. Michael Jackson had Thriller, that was his biggest song. I don't expect any of my songs to be as big as Shebeleza, but that does not mean that there won't be no commercial success or I won't have songs that can be loved by the nation."
He said Ghetto is a story about a girl who's used to the posh life and ends up meeting this kid from the ghetto and ends up falling in love with him, and loving how real people are in the hood. "Two people who are completely different but they end up having common ground," he added.
These days it seems like people's differences can really bring them together. Look at Cassper and DJ Drama; they come from two completely different backgrounds but have managed to create good music together. The rapper said he loved working with the American DJ. "He was actually so cool, he was down to do whatever I wanted to do. It was pretty cool working with him. He wasn't a diva and he also went the extra mile asking me what more he can do."
He also described him as humble and said he'd definitely work with him again.
