ZAlebs Slams Fakaza For Leaking Cassper's Album AMN

The album was leaked a day before the official release.

Fakaza sparked vehement public outcry on Twitter yesterday, ahead of the official release of SA award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest's album. The controversial website notorious for leaking music had many Cassper's fans and celebs distraught, for doing the rapper dirty.

This follows after ahead of the official release of Cassper's fifth studio album Any Minute Now (AMN), twitter was abuzz with news that Fakaza has dropped the album.

Cassper was scheduled to drop the album at midnight but the site decided to ruin his day. It is no secret that the rapper invested so much to this album. Cassper has been hard at work promoting it and he made sure that he produces an impeccable album.

According to research pirating music decreases an album sales by up to 42%. This results in the artist not making more money with the team behind the making of the project.

Artists depends on sales made on their albums, and pirating it takes away money they have invested their hard work on. The award-winning rapper urged his fans to support him by buying his album, instead of pirating it. Fans who wanted to purchase it using legal channels waited until midnight for the official release.

Distraught artists such as DJ Tira, Phil Mphela and Shimza took to Twitter to slam Fakaza.


Cassper recently said this album is everything to him and he gave it his all. “This album is everything to me, I have worked with the best of artists, they each brought their magic to this album. Zola is an iconic artist, I looked up to him as a young boy growing up in the North West, little did I know I would share the same studio and make magic with him. The biggest prize is my family, I am going to be a father and that is a huge blessing. I look forward to it…’ commented the Amademoni rapper.

In a tweet he said this album is his corroborative album to date "This is my most collaborative effort when it comes to albums. I've worked with so many talented people on #AMN and that's the first thing that stands out!!! New Collabos and multi dimensional approaches!!!!! I am loving the shape this album is taking and i hope we finish right!!!"

Cassper named his album #AMN, in reference to his unborn child. The rapper and his baby mama Thobeka Majozi, recently hosted a baby shower in Durban and it was attended the who's who of Mzansi's showbiz. Cassper has been also spoiling Simba as he recently bought him some pair of sneakers.

We cannot wait for his arrival.
