Zakhele Msibi is the latest ZAleb to wake up to news of his own demise!
The actor plays Sunday Nkabinde on Mzansi Magic's Isibaya, had to slam the fake news that has circulated all over social media.
Hearing the news from his brother Earnest, the musician was then contacted by family members who were left distraught by such news.
Commenting on Daily Sun, he told the publication that he is alive and shocked by such a rumour.
"My brother sent me a screenshot of a Facebook post that I am dead. Someone posted this on the Ladies House Facebook page. I was shocked and as I was trying to process it, calls from my friends and family started coming in. They were worried thinking I was dead," he commented.
Trying to get to the bottom of this, he got a hold of the lady who goes by the name of Nokwanda Manozi Ndlovu. She had started the rumour and Zakhele was adamant to find out where she had gotten the information from.
"Unfortunately, she hasn’t responded. I need to get to the bottom of this. People cannot be spreading lies like this and get away with it," he said.
Some celebrities often have to fight news of their deaths from people and it often affects their families in a negative way.
Sophie Lichaba is often hit hard by such nonsensical rumours and is left distraught.
"It's heartbreaking to read messages that I'm dead. It's the second time this year this has happened and it's extremely traumatic to my family friends and especially my kids. To address the rumors I'm alive and kicking and God willing I'm not going anywhere anytime soon," she said.
