The country, especially KwaZulu-Natal is in turmoil, following the arrest of former President Jacob Zuma. The former president, mostly referred to as Baba, handed himself over to the police after he was sentenced to 15 months in prison. He will be serving his sentence at the Estcourt Correctional Services but his legions of fans, are fighting for his release.

The decision to hand himself over was because Zuma did not want any bloodshed as his supporters gathered outside his home in Nkandla. He addressed his supporters who some were wearing ANC regalia but the support did not end there.
Jacob Zuma is charged with being in contempt of court and the judgement was passed by Justice Sisi Khampepe. The judgement says Zuma did not appear in court to give evidence to the Zondo Commission.

Brenda Mtambo
Songstress Brenda Mtambo says something does not feel right about his arrest. She posted a video of herself singing the very same song Zuma sang during the late Nelson Mandela's funeral which says Thina Sizwe.
“Mhlaba wethu, Siyakhuleka ubaba uMsholozi aphile (Our nation, we are praying Baba Msholozi lives). Something is not feeling right with him in jail. I feel sad for some reason,” she said.
AKA
Rapper AKA has always been a supporter of uBaba and as he is going through the worst, he still sticks by him. The Supa Mega posted a picture of Jacob Zuma and captioned it with a powerful quote in IsiZulu which reads, "Inkululeko ngayilwela angiyizwa ngendaba," translating to, "I fought for freedom I don't just know about it."
Zandie Khumalo-Gumede
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Zandie Khumalo, Kelly's former sister consoled Zuma with a few comforting words.
Also written in IsiZulu, she says, "My grandmother always said don't ever laugh at another mans unfortunate circumstances because it does not matter whether you think of yourself as innocent because everybody has faults. I'm so sorry baba, I can only imagine what your kids are going through. Stay strong and I pray God is with your family," she wrote.
Gugu Gumede
Uzalo actress Gugu Gumede could only think of the time Jacob Zuma helped her and her family when her mother was sick and suffering. Her mother is politician Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi.
“Nxamalala, our family will always appreciate the emotional support you gave us during and after my Mom’s ailment. Those visits and check-ups went a long way. When many turned their backs on us, you did not. This will forever be a testament of your character. Yima njalo Msholozi,” she expressed.
L'vovo
L'vovo was told to calm down after blasting the Zondo Commision for sentencing the president. He was left fuming and said, "After 1 Billion. The only arrest is of a 80 year old, retired, pensioner... For what? for failing to appear at the circus! 2021."
