It's been a sombre morning as most of Mzansi is still trying to take in the news that rapper, Flabba, has died. The Skwatta Kamp rapper was stabbed in his home, allegedly by his girlfriend, late last night. Celebrity reactions, including from the likes Dineo Ranaka, Cassper Nyovest and lots of other local celebrities have shown nothing but sadness following the news and we've even seen the hashtag #RIPFlabba trend. The South African Police Service also confirmed the rapper's death and added that a woman (Believed by media to be his girlfriend) has been arrested.

eNCA's Malungelo Booi made his way to Alexandra in order to speak to anybody who might know what's going on. Already, from the first couple of tweets he began sharing, it was clear that Flabba's house was an extremely busy place to be.

What really broke my heart was the feedback from fellow Skwatta Kamp member, Shugasmakx who revealed to the journalist that he was with Flabba just yesterday, only to find out that his friend and musical partner was dead less than 24 hours later.

While many won't have known Flabba on as personal a level as Shugasmakx, several fans of hip hop around the country will no doubt relate. Flabba was on stage at Axecess Jozi, as my colleague Siyathemba testified, and he was also on SABC1's Live Amp on Friday night. It's cruel that you can see one person on TV on Friday and wake up to the news that he has been murdered on Sunday.

What's even worse is that Flabba's younger brother also spoke to eNCA's Malungelo. The younger brother revealed that he was woken up by the commotion and confirmed that he saw Flabba die after a fight with his girlfriend.

The police have yet to confirm that the woman in custody is indeed the much-rumoured girlfriend, however, they did confirm that she is currently giving her statement. People on social media have already started hounding the girl that they believe is Flabba's girlfriend. They found pictures of her on the rapper's Instagram and have already started commenting with words such as "killer" and "murderer.

All I'll say is that we need to be careful how we use our words at a time like this. You don't want to get yourself, or someone else, in any unnecessary trouble. We'll keep on standby for more news of Flabba's death as it breaks.
