Sho Madjozi has given Makhadzi her flowers talking about the day she realise how much of a star she is.
Taking to Twitter Sho gushed over Makhadzi and how she introduced herself in their song together.
"The day I knew @MakhadziSA was a star is in the intros of our first song together I said my tag “Madjozi” and she said “Nne” (me). That’s basically saying “you already know who it is," she laughed.
Makhadzi Wil be having a one woman show this Saturday who Sho promoted.
"Makhadzi One Woman Show this Saturday Makhuva stadium," she wrote.
Makhadzi responded to Sho and said she lives her, "I love you, I still have the clothes you gave me 5years back just because you didn’t want me to leave your house for two days."
Makhadzi's One Woman Show will be happening in Venda but it almost did not happen after a promoter threatened to get a court order to have it halted. This is because he claims to have booked Makhadzi for another event on the same date.
Sunday World reported that the promoter in question is Thato Mashabela who sent a letter of demand to Makhadzi so she can perform at the Boeketlong Lodge and Pub in Polokwane on the same day.
“The event is already fully booked, as well as the lodge,” he said. “People want to see Makhadzi. If it was just any other artist, it would be better, but it is impossible to lie to people about MaKhadzi, because she is a big artist.”
Thato alleged that he paid Makhadzi R42 000 and the other R40 000 would be paid 7 days before the performance.
But Open Mic denied this and said she is not booked for any gig on that day.
Open Mic had to issue a statement after Makhadzi failed to pitch for a performance at the Northern Cape Heritage Festival.
She was booked to perform on September 24 but due to being over booked, that could not happen.
"Open Mic and Makhadzi would like to apologise to the Northern Cape Heritage Festival and all her fans in the Northen Cape for her failure to make it to the show this past Saturday (24 September 2022).
"Makhadzi had a packed schedule this past weekend, a Jet was organized to ensure a smooth travel from all her shows, later in the day she encountered an aviation obstacle which made it impossible for Makhadzi and crew to land a private Jet in either Bloemfontein or Kimberly as both airports close operations much earlier than her anticipated arrival," the statement continues.
"Several other efforts were made to transport Makhadzi and crew to this event, these efforts where however not successful taking into account the time of the day, Makhadzi's safety and that of her crew.Makhadzi apologises with no reservations to all her beautiful fans in the Northen Cape and the organizers of this precious events. Makhadzi was looking forward to this event and she promises to come to the Northen Cape very very soon," they concluded.
