Her debut single will be released on Friday, March 18 and has been received with mixed reactions but the entertainment commentator defended Masechaba.
Phil said Masechaba should be free to do what she wants if it means more money for her. "In a country where y’all get shocked that an actor wants to get paid over R100k a month. Or a radio personality can be paid over R400k …Are you actually gonna feign outrage that creatives have multiple revenue streams. You want them to get paid peanuts so leave them do it all."Another star releasing their debut single is Uncle Waffles who is earing up to release her highly anticipated EP, Red Dragon. "This journey has continually proven to be a blessing, now we move into a new part of the journey," she said before announcing the release if her lead single Tanzania.
Uncle Waffles faced so much backlash when she first burst into the scene with her management even being accused of sleeping with her.
She defended her team and said she tries to not entertain the negativity, "Everything being posted is being twisted and taken out of context, KK and everyone is my family. My moment is being striped away because now people in my life who helped me and believed in me before a lot of people are becoming affected. Even making the decision a few days ago to no longer handle my social media Bc I was becoming overwhelmed and hyper focusing on the hate."
She says she appreciates the love she is getting from people, "I appreciate all the love above all else, I needed to clarify this. Those are my people who are part of my everyday and have really held me down. Let’s not touch that part. Even typing this with the feeling that it will still be altered sucks as well, genuinely my people love me."
