In all fan favourite romantic movies, the climax comes when the down on his luck dashing young man goes on one knee and proposes to the woman he has loved for years. The curtain falls, and everybody sheds a tear.

The Dlamini-Jones love story is one for the books. The actress revealed in an interview with Sinazo Yola how her husband Quinton Jones popped the question.
The model claimed that she had no idea her boyfriend was planning to propose. She claimed that they often go on long drives to spend quality time together, so when he asked her to go away for a bit, she had no suspicions.
"We drove to a bush lake house, and when we got there, he had arranged some of my favorite food & stuff."
They then went outside to enjoy the sunset and some champagne, and when she looked away briefly, he got on one knee with a box in hand.
"I was a bit shocked for a while, I could not believe it, every time he buys me jewelry, he goes on one knee and asks me to marry him, so I thought it was a prank, it wasn't, he was serious, I started crying and eventually said yes."

Amanda Du Pont and Shawn Rodrigues
Actress and television personality Amanda Du Pont stole many hearts when she shared a video from her engagement in 2018. She traveled to the Maldives with her long-term lover to celebrate her 30th birthday, or so she thought.
Her now-husband Shawn Rodrigues booked them a private boat and they sailed out to a small island, all under the guise of a birthday surprise. As the sun set and the waves lapped around them, he went down on one knee and popped the question.

Hungani popped the question on Stephanie's birthday, during which she wasn't feeling well. He had an elaborate plan including an exclusive plane ride that almost went wrong because of bad weather, but the airport staff helped him pull it off.
After the pair flew around for a sight seeing experience, they landed to find a scene set up and camera crew waiting. He got on one knee and popped the question, and Stephanie said yes! Hungani spoke of how nervous he was through it all, which was ridiculously adorable.
This couple has no doubt had a turbulent relationship. From Mampintsha being accused of being too controlling, to accusations of physical abuse and infidelity, Mzansi has seen it all.
However, that does not take away from the fact that they had a very cute proposal.
