Moeti “Mo Flava” Tsiki is a veteran broadcaster who for the past eight years was one of the faces of Metro FM. This is as Mo joined the station as the host of the drive-time show initially. However, for the past two years, the broadcaster was the host of the breakfast time slot on the station.

However, arguably unsurprisingly, after two years it was announced that Mo Flava would not be helming the breakfast show. Moreover, he was actually leaving the station completely. As reported at the time:

[The joint official statement] confirmed that MoFlava was not fired, but had made a mutual decision with the station to end his contract.

The reasoning behind this was shared in the statement as it quoted the broadcaster expressing why he made the decision to not come back as:

“The time has come for me to move on and explore other opportunities. I have spent eight amazing years at METRO FM and I appreciate the opportunity I was given to do top-level radio and touch lives. The METRO FM listeners have a special place in my heart. I am looking forward to exploring new opportunities I have lined up in radio where I will continue to express my talent. I am also excited about TV opportunities on the horizon. I’ll also continue to help young people who want to get into radio broadcasting through radio demo workshops."

Moreover, the statement confirmed that MoFlava will have his last day as the host of Wake Up On Metro FM on Friday, 10 March 2023. Thereafter, his co-host Khutso Tsaledi will hold down the fort until the beginning of April when the new permanent host is announced.

At the time, Mo Flava had not announced where his new home was going to be, and it was assumed that he was going to be unemployed. A fact which seemed to make one person happy, which was MacG. But it seems that MacG might have been premature with his elation.

MacG must be reeling as Mo Flava joins 94.7

When it was believed that Mo Flava was unemployed following his departure from Metro FM. One person that was beyond happy about the fact was none other than MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho. This is as he took to his popular podcast Podcast and Chill to gloat that Mo Flava was at home on his couch doing nothing.
However, as Mo Flava has since confirmed that from Monday, 3 April 2023, he is set to join 94.7 hosting the afternoon weekday time slot. A matter he confirmed on the Anele and the Club breakfast show.
It did not take long for MacG to top the trends list as the public believed that he was presumptuous in his sentiments. Moreover, that he will need to take back his words which were directed toward Mo Flava during the open trade radio season 2023.

But whether that will happen or not remains to be seen. This is as MacG is not one to usually apologise easily. More so to Mo Flava which he has pitted as his arch-nemesis after Mo Flava allegedly after he had turned his back on him during his downfall on radio.
